Local regional chambers from across the South Bay and Harbor Area stepped aboard Harbor Breeze Cruises’ El Escudo, a sleek new zero-emission hybrid ship, for a near three-hour cruise. Whatever the reason, those extra loops bought everyone roughly an extra half hour of party time, stretching the advertised 8:00 p.m. return into an 8:30 p.m. finale. By the time the bow finally pointed back toward Rainbow Harbor, the sky had gone fully dark - the music was still rolling, and the last toasts were raised against a backdrop of ship lights and harbor glow.
